Funeral services for Mr. Freddie R. Corley 72 of Epps, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Walnut Grove Baptist Church near Epps with Rev. Fred Hale and Rev. Todd Perry officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Tuesday at Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the Epps Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.
Mr. Corley died Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Richland Parish Hospital in Delhi after a sudden illness.
He was a lifelong resident and farmer of the Epps area and member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church where he was a former Secretary-Treasurer and is preceded in death by his parents, Francis Fleming Corley and Lillian Helen Corley.
He was a loving, caring & giving father, grandfather and brother. A simple man, humble in life and of spirit, who was quick to repent & to forgive, who loved God and served Him faithfully in all that he did. His example and christian witness will live on in memory and in the many lives he touched.
Freddie is survived by five children, Michael Corley and wife Donna of Epps, LA, Jan Corley Slade and Kristina Corley both of Swartz, LA, Kevin Corley and wife Robin of Clinton, AR and Allison Corley and fiance' Adam Colson of Nashville, TN; eighteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
He is also survived by a brother, Ronnie Corley and wife Ann of Epps, LA; two sisters Francine McVay and husband David of Epps, LA and Gaye McMahan and husband Patrick of Atlanta, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Justin Slade, Jarred Slade, Paxton Scott, Jacob Scriber, Zach Reine and Dylan Hopson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Caleb Scriber, Mason Corley, Landon Corley, Kameron Brown, Grayson Shiers and Trent Hopson.
